Position Summary:
The ideal candidate will have prior experience in the insurance industry with existing personal lines retail agent / broker relationships.
Essential Functions:
- Business development with personal lines retail insurance agents / brokers in a defined territory.
- Developing and implementing marketing strategies for both existing and prospective customer base.
- Developing new and fostering existing relationships with retail insurance producers to develop submission and quote activity.
- Assist with development of a comprehensive marketing plan to facilitate current business growth initiatives and execute the plan.
- Analyzing market trends to evaluate, develop and implement strategic plans to meet and exceed organizational goals.
- Work in unison with our Production team leaders in developing new and enhancing existing retail insurance agent / broker relationships.
- Assist retail agents / brokers with connecting to the proper RT / RSG divisions based on customer needs.
- Assist with / handle customer complaints and solve customer problems accordingly.
- Additional duties as assigned by manager or office president(s).
Education/Experience/Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Psychology or Business is preferred, but not required.
- Must possess strong computer/technology/systems skills.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication and negotiation skills are required.
- Strong ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to manage workload with minimal supervision.
- Critical attention to details.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office including, but not limited to Outlook, Word, Excel.
- Proven track record of being a team player.
- May be required to have and maintain a valid driver’s license.
- Must be open to significant business travel as determined by the needs of the business.
