- Plan, prepare, and host PI (Program Increment) Planning events
- Risk Management and mitigation relative to scope, timeline and resources
- Track and communicate team progress, performance metrics, and sprint goals using JIRA and other tools
- Facilitate stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives
- Resolving any open issues/impediments that the team faces during sprint execution
- Coach team members on Agile principles and practices.
- Promote continuous improvement within the team through retrospectives and feedback loops.
- Coordinate with other Scrum Masters and BSAs to ensure alignment and consistency in Agile processes and scrum practices.
- Work with technical leads and subject matter experts to ensure alignment with business logic and objectives
- Facilitate Product Backlog Refinement (Grooming)
- Travel up to 5% of the time (PI Planning events are held in person once a quarter)
- Other duties as assigned
- Bachelor or advanced degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or similar relevant specialization, or equivalent professional experience
- Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies and Scrum practices
- Experience with Agile tools and techniques (e.g., JIRA, Confluence)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to facilitate team meetings, requirements gathering, and follow-ups
- Understanding of the SDLC and software development best practices
- Master’s degree in Informatics, Bioinformatics, or related fields
- Previous experience as a Scrum Master in an agile development environment
- Scrum Master certification
- Experience with software development or IT operations
- Experience working with cross-functional teams
