Job Description:
When you join us, you’ll become a part of a nationally recognized health system dedicated to our mission of “helping people live the healthiest lives possible.”The Advanced Practice Provider (APP), a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant; will join our Inpatient Cardiology and Electrophysiology team at the Utah Valley Hospital in Provo, Utah. Our multidisciplinary practice includes 4 APPs and 7 Physicians, with additional opportunities to interface with peers across the healthcare organization.
About this role:
The APP will provide full time inpatient care in Cardiology and Electrophysiology. The work schedule will be 7 on and 7 off with overnight call shifts. There are 4 APPs total in this department: two will be working on the same schedule and the other two APPs will be on rotating on opposite weeks.
In addition:
You will be accountable for the provision of patient care at the top of licensure, within your scope of practice. Licensed, credentialed and privileged to perform such duties as:
Maintenance and promotion of health and prevention of disease;
Assessment, diagnosis, treatment, correction, and consultation;
Procedures as outlined by specialty, and referral for health problems;
Education of the patient, patient's family, clinical staff, and others;
Prescription or administration of prescription drugs or devices in accordance with a consultation and referral plan;
Consultation with other healthcare providers;
Appropriate and timely documentation of clinical care;
Continually learning and developing for optimal patient care and outcomes.

What you’ll bring:
Current state license as an Advance Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) or Physician Assistant (PA).
Certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
Eligible for State Controlled Substance License II through V.
Eligible for Federal DEA Certificate II through V.
BLS Certification for Healthcare Providers.
Other certification as required (e.g. ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NRP).
Highly Preferred Qualifications:
Two or more years of cardiology APP experience.
New grads are welcome to apply with the requirement of having a cardiology rotation and/or cardiology clinical experience.
Masters degree or higher.
Applicable certification from a recognized certifying organization such as the National Commission of Physician Assistants.
Applicable experience as defined by position leadership.
