As the Global Procurement Director, Fiber & Fluff, you’ll have accountability for world-class procurement across all Fiber material types. Serving 72 manufacturing sites, in 30 countries, 50 material specifications, across four business Segments. This global category team consists of 15 FTE’s and manages a network of over 40 global suppliers, with $1.5B annual spend.
In this role you will:
Lead development and execution of global Fiber & Fluff category strategies aligned to business needs. Communicate on a regular basis to key internal stakeholders. Provide on-going, expert level, supply category knowledge and insights into each business Segment.
Lead Commercial negotiation of supply contracts on behalf of K-C. Experience creating pre-negotiation strategy.
Set annual targets for total value creation including safety, quality, service, capacity, sustainability, social responsibility, and cost objectives for key suppliers. Maintain an understanding of global benchmarks for key operating performance measures and best practices.
Envision future business needs and sustainability/retail shelf performance needs within the packaging spend category; plan actions to achieve long-term objectives.
Lead initiatives that enable revenue growth, margin improvement, supply security, product innovation, risk management and supply chain optimization.
Identify and execute projects with large potential impact to business results.
Work effectively with R&D, suppliers, mills and sustainability teams on programs that will enhance K-C on Natural Forest Free achievement.
Engage suppliers in the pulp industry to achieve higher standards on their sustainability practices, including the right set of certificates and controls.
Provide global leadership for supplier collaboration and innovation in alignment with long-term business strategies. Identify, cultivate, and develop suppliers that can become strategic partners.

To succeed in this role, you will need the following qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree Supply Chain, Business Administration, or Finance
10+ years of senior-level procurement or related business experience
Ability to work cross-functionally and cross-culturally across multiple business Segments, including a depth of knowledge in category strategy development and implementation.
A wide degree of creativity and business judgement is required.
