Job Summary and Objectives

The Senior Marketing Manager will develop and oversee all local omni-channel marketing activities for Alexion's rare disease pipeline to expand and accelerate the distribution of Alexion products in the BeLux market. The work will always ensure compliance with all applicable local laws, regulations, values, and procedures, as amended from time to time. The Senior Marketing Manager will join a small, rare disease team in France/BeLux and have the opportunity to be exposed to various cross-functional projects within an international network.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the preparation, reflection, and design of strong and innovative annual strategic plans in close coordination with cross-functional teams (commercial, medical, patient advocacy, market access).
  • Implement an innovative omni-channel marketing tactical plan in collaboration with the Digital Lead and the International team.
  • Present and defend strategic and tactical plans to the France/BeLux and/or International Management Committee to align resource/budget needs.
  • Lead cross-functional project groups (launch, disease plan...) and rally teams around marketing projects.
  • Define and track performance indicators of different marketing operations. Be able to adapt the roadmap based on these indicators.
  • Oversee results and manage the budget envelope.
  • Coordinate regulatory, medical, compliance, and legal validation of projects and manage communication agencies involved in these projects within specified deadlines.
  • Support the execution of promotional events by the sales force, from design to delivery of content (including organizing congresses and managing promotional materials).
  • Lead the preparation and execution of new product launches in close collaboration with the marketing, medical, digital, and access teams in France, Belgium, and Luxembourg, taking the lead on score-teams, preparing and presenting launch readiness reviews to the France/BeLux and International Management Committee.
  • Analyze the local market and competitive landscape to best adapt the strategy and messages.
  • Establish and maintain quality and trusted contacts within the relevant medical community, with opinion leaders, prescribers, and decision-makers, in compliance with current regulations.
  • Contribute to ongoing training for field teams.
  • Engage the sales force in each new campaign and maintain active communication with them to better understand needs and challenges and adapt marketing tools.
  • Create synergy between activities in France and BeLux, where regulations permit.
  • Collaborate closely with international teams on cross-functional projects and be an ambassador for the subsidiary in international meetings.

Qualifications

  • Over 5 years of experience in marketing and/or cross-functional roles.
  • Significant experience in the field of rare diseases preferred.
  • Experience in developing omni-channel campaigns is desired.
  • Management experience is a plus.
  • Field experience is a plus.
  • Highly customer-focused.
  • Experience working in international teams preferred.
  • Proficiency in French, Flemish, and English, both written and spoken.
  • High learning agility and adaptab
