Job Summary:
Oversees all aspects of the Adventist Health physician service line and ensures its place as a viable part of the organization's overall business strategy. Assesses, analyzes, and executes strategically and financially feasible physician business and service line strategies that expand Adventist Health 's capabilities and enhance its ability to provide value to its customers. Responsible to provide management to the physician service line providers. Responsible for increasing revenues, market share and enhancing quality and resource utilization (value creation). Oversees the development and implementation of operational performance improvement plans.
Job Requirements:
Education and Work Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in healthcare related field: Required
- Master's Degree: Required
- Fifteen years' relevant experience: Preferred
- Five years' leadership experience: Preferred
Essential Functions:
- Provides System leadership for physician practice operations, physician co-management arrangements, clinical integration activities and implementation and management of clinical and business practice operations.
- Ensures compliance with all regulatory agencies governing health care services and the rules of accrediting bodies. Ensures compliance with all internal Adventist Health compliance standards.
- Directs the development and implementation of activities and processes necessary to optimize clinical, financial and satisfaction outcomes.
- Collaborates with the Inpatient leaders as well as internal and external system resources, including representatives from finance, legal, managed care, information technology, and clinical effectiveness to take advantage of the synergy associated with multi-disciplinary team approach to physician practice management and service line development.
- Develops the capabilities and professionalism of associates and leaders in the AH Outpatient family.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
