GILBANE has an opportunity for a Project Manager I to support our federal pursuits and projects across the United States.

Gilbane is seeking a Project Manager I to be responsible for supporting the Senior Project Manager and/or Project Manager in the overall direction, completion, and financial outcome of a construction-management project; as well as mentoring multiple Project Engineers and Superintendents. This position will be on the job site every day and will fill a key role on the project team.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership in motivating the project team and maintain a positive work environment.

  • Manage the project using established project controls and procedures.

  • Perform pre-construction planning, scheduling, and cost control.
  • Buy-out of the project in alignment with the project budget.
  • Communicate with owners, architects and subcontractors related to project risk, timetables, costs/budgets, and change management.
  • Perform constructability and coordination reviews.
  • Prepare monthly reports including cost, schedule, safety, cash flow, and others for internal and/or external use.
  • Prepare contingency plans for potential risks, expanding contractual services and project profit.
  • Provide jobsite leadership in safety and quality.

Qualifications

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION

  • BS OR MS degree in Engineering or Construction Management
  • 2-5 years of Project Management experience on projects valued at $30 million or larger
  • Or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Prior US Government/military construction project experience is required

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Strong technical and communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Excellent critical thinking skills and ability to adapt to changing
  • Ability to work in a team
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Proficient in Procore (or similar) is desired.
  • Must be construction-document and drawing literate, with knowledge of all phases of construction.
  • Must have experience in all Civil, Structural, and Architectural
