About the role

Banyan Treatment Centers, is currently recruiting for a Lead Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) to join our team in Baldwinville, MA. This is an opportunity for growth!

This position reports directly to the BHT Supervisor and Director of Operations. The demonstrate a high value for patient care, have excellent written and verbal communication, are knowledgeable of industry standards, and are competent in assisting with the oversight of the facility.

 

Schedules Available:

  • scheduled days would be developed with Management. 
  • Weekend and Holiday availability is required.

 

Location:

  • This position requires an ON SITE presence. 
  • Wilmington, MA

 

Pay:

Primary Job Duties:

  • Supervise patients and patient living areas conscientiously with emphasis on patient safety and well being.
  • Assists in assuring daily program activities: transports patients, coordinates group activities, and supervises all recreational activities.
  • Communicates all pertinent care information to the Director of Operations and/or Clinical Director
  • Record patient behavior, problems, and issues in communication log in a timely, legible, and helpful manner.
  •  Interact appropriately with patients, showing them respect while maintaining professional boundaries.
  • Provide emotional support for patients while referring them to therapy staff to deal with clinical issues.
  • Communicates effectively with other staff members, demonstrating the ability to work as a team member and contribute
    positively to the morale of staff.
  • Safely transports clients in company vehicles.
  • Demonstrates ability to work with Substance Abuse clients.
  • Demonstrates ability to bond with patients and elicit respect.
  • Demonstrates ability to adapt to different types of patients.
  • Demonstrates adherence to accepted ethical and behavioral standards of conduct.
  • Ensure continuous rounds of the client apartments are being completed by BHT staff.
  • Ensure the BHT offices are clean, organized and efficient.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Driver License- 3 points or less- MUST BE 21+ (insurance requirement).
  • 1-2 years' of experience in the field of behavioral and/or mental health
  • Must have an eligible Level II background screening in accordance with AHCA. 
  • Must be able to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and flexible hours.
  • Associate's degree, preferred.
  • CBHT, preferred. 

 

Abilities/Competencies:

  • Knowledge of principles and practices of the discipline.
  • Adheres to: Healthcare Code of Ethics
  • Knowledge of Joint Commission Standards
  • Knowledge of State & Federal Statutes Regarding:
