Provide strategic vision and operational leadership for all DPS Technical Enterprise Application Services and activities, including systems integration, student information systems (SIS), human capital management (HCM) systems, enterprise resource planning (ERP), and other various applications, as well as operational support for these systems. Track a broad range of relevant emerging technologies to determine their maturity and applicability to DPS. Build, coach, mentor, and manage a team of managers. Manage pertinent vendor relationships and contract negotiations. As a direct report to the DPS CIO, provide knowledge, insight, and recommendations regarding the use of technology as a means of improving instructional, curriculum, academic support, and administrative delivery systems. Partner with other district leaders to define and deliver key strategic, operational, and analytics initiatives. Responsible for the preparation of DOTS budgeting, human capital, and resources related to providing enterprise application services. Optimize service and performance levels throughout the DOTS Development and Data Services organization.

- Explore emerging technologies and methodologies to support enterprise application systems and assess benefits to DPS. Lead teams as necessary to resolve enterprise application issues as appropriate and collaborate across the organization as necessary to resolve complex issues.
- Implement operational processes and controls to help ensure that delivery services for enterprise applications (i.e. ERP, HCM, SIS, etc.) are of the highest quality. Serve as change champion for new processes and procedures within the department as well as across other impacted groups.
- Ensure that key performance indicators for all enterprise applications systems, and processes have been identified, that an ongoing assessment process of these KPIs are implemented, and a proactive definition process focusing on addressing business needs is in place.
- Provide oversight and leadership for District initiatives; team with other departments on projects that require enterprise applications, (i.e. ERP, HCM, SIS, etc.). Work with the DPS PMO organization to ensure relevant technology projects are properly planned, resourced, and managed.
- Facilitate effective communications throughout the various levels within DPS. Ensure the CIO and other key stakeholders are kept up-to-date concerning any issues or incidents (and associated action plans) impacting DPS operations or project delivery.
- Manage operating and capital budgets; provide stewardship of resources to most effectively support the needs of DPS. Negotiate technology procurements and contracts; evaluate and manage vendors on an on-going basis.
