POSITION SUMMARY (Basic purpose or primary function of job)
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Director of Data Operations to join the Arthritis Foundation. In this key role, you will be responsible for the active management of our data operations, ensuring that our Salesforce CRM environment maintains accurate and up-to-date data on our constituents from our different source systems. Your expertise in data management will play a crucial part in helping us achieve our mission and serve our community better.
The Director, Data Operations is responsible for managing and monitoring all aspects of data operations, including implementation of new data processes, monitoring current processes, and regularly reviewing data for quality and completeness. The Director ensures that key data assets are continuously secure and well‐integrated. This role will lead in the development of new opportunities to leverage constituent data to better serve our community through optimization of data within Salesforce.
SCOPE:
This role is responsible for leading the firm’s effective utilization of data assets to create a unified data driven organization. An operationally minded individual with a passion for making data an actionable asset, this leader will execute a roadmap that leverages Arthritis Foundation’s data resources to maximize the utilization of the Arthritis Foundation data assets and enhance member support while ensuring its accuracy, relevance, currency, and integrity.
For business systems oversight the position will have primary responsibility over Salesforce data, our data warehouse (Microsoft Azure environment) , our data processes (Azure pipelines), and other related platforms and processes. The focus is on effective data operations into Salesforce and high-quality data both at the source level. This role will also work with our IT partner to assist in changes to our Azure pipelines and overall changes to our data flows between our data warehouse, Salesforce and other related platforms.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES (Principal responsibilities or job duties)
Priority areas this position owns and manages:
- Examine source systems and their data, establishment and management of data dictionaries for quality and integration opportunities.
- Assure high quality data supports CRM reporting and dashboards.
- Perform audits for quality, accuracy and completeness.
- Attend various interdepartmental meetings and pass pertinent information along to leadership
- Perform data management tasks such as backing up data, creating new databases, or recovering corrupted files.
- Perform adhoc data analyst activities to inform business owners of current trends and forecasts.
Manage data definitions for CRM to help staff in understanding what data is available and how it can be used.
Work with the Constituent Strategy department and the Data Governance committee to apply data governance policies and best practices for our data operations.
Ensures that data maintained in CRM is current, accurate and complete and can be utilized and exported in the context of fund raising, outreach, and field activities.
Leads key integration and data quality initiatives as assigned, developing comprehensive plans, goals and objectives, timelines, resource plans, communications, training, and other documentation.
Interfaces with peer executives on a continual basis to ensure effective communications of data management initiatives and data quality. Integrates and supports business unit goals and initiatives around data integration and data quality.
Leads efforts to provide both individual source systems and consolidated CRM data reporting and metrics in support of the consolidated data integration and data quality.
Work closely with senior management and Arthritis Foundation peers to provide data‐driven decision making and measures for success in the overall data collection, data needs processing, or systems and applications and staff training and guidance.
Participates in the planning, development, and management of the organizations’ Constituent Strategy Road Map for ongoing optimization of CRM.
