Job Description
Coordinate and work closely with business development and program management staff in identifying and qualifying revenue opportunities consistent with company’s market/revenue growth strategy. Identify opportunities, establish leads/contacts with potential customers, provide company awareness/capabilities briefings, attend marketing/business development conferences/seminars, provide information for bid/no bid decision making, capture win themes/discriminators, and help develop/foster teaming arrangements with other companies. Drive proposal opportunities after approved bid decision. Assist in the development of overall proposal strategy as needed including transition/implementation strategies, recruiting/staffing/management strategies/planning). Provide technical input into proposal efforts in area of expertise and hold full accountability for strategy.
Qualifications
10+ years experience in business development, capture and marketing for U.S. Federal government contractors and demonstrated pattern of success as a leader of business strategy and capture. 5 years recent experience and contacts with key DoD customers. Bachelor’s degree in a related field; Master’s degree preferred. Familiar with major Federal government procurement strategies (T&M, FFP, performance-based) and contract vehicles (GWACs/IDIQs). Must have experience with current DoD contract vehicles such as RS3. Extensive experience identifying, tracking, and capturing business opportunities. Able to analyze opportunities and solicitations and assess their value to the company, resource requirements, and budgets. Proven capability to write at a high level and to interact heavily with SMEs to gather pertinent data. Experience in an operational capacity such as project or program manager strongly preferred. Strong communication skills and excellent analytical, organizational, workflow, and problem-solving skills. Able to cultivate solid, productive working relationships with internal managers, staff, and peers as well as partners and consultants and facilitate collaboration towards innovative solutions. Must be willing to travel. Must be a US citizen.
