The annual base salary range provided for this position is a nationwide market range and represents a broad range of salaries for this role across the country. The actual salary for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment. As part of our comprehensive compensation and benefits program, employees are also eligible for performance-based cash incentive awards.

3What Is the Opportunity?
The intent of this position is to provide our internal employees, 2025 Travelers Summer Interns and Summer Students the ability to apply to our 2026 Full-time or Intern opportunities. Applications outside of this audience will not be considered at this time. However, for additional positions posted at a later date we encourage anyone who was not an internal employee, Summer Intern or Summer Student between June 2025-August 2025 to apply at that time.Innovative thinking, creative problem-solving, and a determination to challenge the status-quo. These are some of the defining qualities for participants of our Human Resources Leadership Development Program (HRLDP). This three-year rotational program is designed to grow and develop your human resources and self-leadership skills. Each rotation will consist of a combination of hands-on experience, access to a robust HR curriculum, and a formal mentoring program to prepare you for a dynamic career. You will have the opportunity to explore multiple functions of human resources while learning from different leaders within Travelers.
As a HRLDP participant, you will model the way for others and set a personal example of what is expected. You will be expected to positively challenge processes and identify new and innovative ways to get work done more effectively and efficiently. You will be expected to take initiative, embrace change, actively listen to and support diverse points of view and celebrate the success of others. What Will You Do?
- The program is multi-faceted and offers a human resources and business development curriculum focused on human resources, insurance, strategy, leading self and influencing others. Other program components include formal mentoring, networking and career guidance. Please note that occasional travel for business meetings and events is an expectation of program participants.
- HRLDP participant duties will vary based on the specific rotation, but will be within one or more of the areas outlined below:
- COMPENSATION:
- Design competitive and cost-effective total compensation programs, practices and solutions that support management in leading the creation and maintenance of a high-performance culture at Travelers.
- EMPLOYEE RELATIONS:
- Develop an understanding of issues, state and federal employment law regulations and corporate HR policies and procedures.
- May gain exposure to managing all HR activities for an assigned business group.
- May assist in the development of HR policies and programs by consulting with other HR specialist functions.
- TALENT ACQUISITION:
- Consult with business partners to develop and maintain external recruitment sources for exempt and non-exempt positions.
- Recruit, interview, assess and place applicants to effectively meet company human resources needs.
- TRACK BASED ROTATION:
- Tracks include but are not limited to: People & Projects (HR Business Partner, Diversity & Inclusion, Learning & Development, Operations) or Data & Analytics (Benefits, People Analytics).
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What Will Our Ideal Candidate Have?
- Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or greater.
- A minimum of 1 year of Human Resources related experience (which may include one or more internship experiences in the Human Resources field).
