Description
As a key member of our firm, the tax-oriented position will assume an important role in providing a variety of services to our clients as well as supporting other team members. Day-to-day responsibilities may include file management, proofing financial statements, engagement letter creation, tax return assembly, scanning, receptionist back-up, and other duties as assigned and trained for. This is a great opportunity for individuals who understand the importance of flexibility, teamwork, customer service, and attention to detail in their work and how it affects all aspects of the business.
Responsibilities
- Review and editing of financial statements to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance
- Draft and prepare client engagement letters
- Organize and compile completed tax returns and supporting documentation, including invoice creation
- Electronically file tax returns through authorized platforms
- Generate internal and client-facing reports summarizing financial data, filing statuses, and other key metrics
- Document sorting and scanning
- Records maintenance
- Backup receptionist duties, as needed (phones, greeting clients, kitchen setup and cleanup)
Requirements
- 3+ years of administrative support experience in a professional setting
- 1+ year of experience in a public accounting setting preferred
- Higher Education Degree in Accounting, Business, or related field
Qualifications
- Highly detail-oriented with proficient organization skills
- Able to work efficiently as part of a team
- Professional, personable, and flexible
- Proactive in seeking out tasks, projects, assignments
- Proficient skills in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word
