Position Summary:
Florida Atlantic University is seeking a Coordinator, Student Financial Aid - Boca Raton, FL.
Summary of Responsibilities:
Specifically coordinates aid awarding and manages processing for students in the Comprehensive Transition & Postsecondary Program (CTP).
Reviews eligibility for financial aid packages, processes professional judgment (PJ), satisfactory academic progress (SAP) appeals, and revises and cancels aid as required.
Ensures that front desk staff are giving accurate information and appropriately accepting and posting incoming documents.
Advises and counsels students regarding financial aid options, student budgets, completion of financial aid forms, and eligibility for aid.
Coordinates the awarding of scholarships and other aid as required.
Case Manager: makes financial decisions as to the student's eligibility for financial aid for assigned students based on the alpha division.
Processes consortium agreements and study abroad for all FAU students.
Assists front desk staffing during peak time or as needed.
Performs financial aid outreach presentations and workshops within the local community to include but not limited to local public high schools.
Reviews and processes weekly financial aid reports such as negative need and over budget reports.

Minimum Qualifications:
A bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization and two years of appropriate experience; or a master's degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization required.Salary:
