What You'll Do:

As a graduate engineer, you will have the chance to collaborate with numerous professionals within the water business unit and across other units, depending on the projects assigned. The water business unit handles a diverse range of projects for private, public, and municipal clients, offering you the opportunity to expand your technical expertise across various project types. The Northeast Ohio water group has recently completed a variety of projects, including the following:

• Water Treatment & Distribution
• Wastewater Treatment & Collection
• Stormwater Collection & Detention
• Water Modeling
• Hydraulic Modeling (Sanitary & Stormwater)
• Sidewalk and Street Improvements
• Pavement Assessment
• Municipal Building Generator Replacements
• Municipal Plan Review
• Funding Procurement

 

We will count on you to learn from experienced engineers as you support the project team and grow your career and technical skills. Your tasks will include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Planning Studies and Reports
• Design Calculations
• Prepare Construction Cost Estimate and Drawings in AutoCAD, Civil 3D
• Preparation of Technical Specifications
• Review of Regulatory Requirements and Permitting
• Utility Coordination
• Field Work (as needed)

 

What You'll Bring:

We have a variety of projects coming through the door, so we are looking for someone who is eager to be a part of the team and provide the necessary support to ensure client satisfaction. The ideal candidate will possess the following attributes:

• Self-motivation including a willingness and desire to learn and grow in the profession.
• A strong sense of professional accountability.
• Ability to translate engineering concepts from undergraduate studies into real-world problem solving.
• Work effectively both individually and in a team environment.
• Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D (Post-Degree Experience or Undergraduate Classwork Preferred)

Educational Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or other relevant field
• Successfully completed the Fundamentals of Engineering Exam (or plans to take within six months of hire)
