We are looking for an experienced, self-driven Chief of Staff or an exceptional candidate looking to grow into this role. You will report to the SVP of Data Services. You will work closely with the VP and across the leadership team to drive relentless focus on improving the experience for our customers and users. You'll thread the needle across multiple teams and support the VP in delivering results and holding teams accountable.

To be successful in this strategic and technical role, you must be comfortable working with science & engineering teams and key business partners including finance, HR, recruiting, service delivery leaders and Chiefs of Staff supporting peer teams. You will develop business insights and support through reporting and analytics and will drive continuous process improvement and simplification to remove obstacles and enable the team to succeed in the highly dynamic world of cloud computing.

You will drive our efforts to identify key initiatives and investment areas, support the short-term and future user experience strategy in alignment with OCI’s vision and mission, and track execution and operations across the org. In this role you will also dive deep on critical experiential issues facing the business. Operations: As Senior Technical Program Manager, you will drive the rhythm of the business, including reviews, leadership meetings, strategy sessions- thinking holistically and strategically about key business processes, organizational effectiveness and efficiency, employee engagement, and organizational communications.

Communications: Actively establish communication needs for the VP by defining talks, narratives, and engagements with staff, press and customers

Strategic Initiatives: Create and implement accurate plans and develop success metrics and communication approach for special initiatives and projects related to the overall improvement of the product experience

Budgeting & Hiring: Elevate our partnership with Recruiting to ensure our organization attracts the best and brightest candidates and any openings are filled quickly and meet organizational hiring objectives. Hold hiring managers accountable for ensuring a positive onboarding experience. Actively manage the organization’s CAPEX & OPEX budgets.

Cultivate Relationships: Success in OCI is dependent on cross-functional and cross-organization relationships. And good relationships start with empathy and trust. You will identify stakeholder relationships to build and effectively partner with to facilitate the success of your role and the organization’s mission.

Culture and People: Work closely with VP, HR and leadership to identify, analyze, and develop strategies to improve organizational health for employees as indicated by employee feedback via Glint, from personal observation (requires a good pulse on the org), or other employee listening systems. Work closely with the leadership team and HR team on overall morale strategy and fun events.

Basic Qualifications

  • 8+ years leading complex technical / product programs
  • 8+ years relevant work experience in program and project management
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with cloud services, networking, or SaaS products
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate (oral and written) at all levels across an org
  • Ability to think broadly and strategically
  • Experience using agile software development practices and associated tooling
  • Maturity, judgment, negotiation/influence skills, analytical skills, and leadership skills
  • Self-driven problem solver; able to adapt and thrive in a dynamic, ambiguous, and customer-focused environment
  • Highly analytical, technically proficient, and able to learn new tools and software quickly
