The presence of a physical therapist at a Hemophilia Treatment Center is essential due to the specialized needs of individuals with hemophilia, a genetic disorder characterized by impaired blood clotting. Education and counseling on joint protection, pain management, and lifestyle modifications are crucial aspects of the role.

For clinical related issues the position would report to Dr. Craig Kessler and for administrative issues the position would report to Lisa Jacobs.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Education: Doctoral, Master’s, or Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy

• Experience: Previous experience in an inpatient or outpatient setting is preferred but not required

• Licensure: Licensed by the District of Columbia Department of Health is required

• Supervisory requirements:  none

Pay Range

The projected hourly pay range for this position which represents the full range of anticipated compensation is: $135.00 - $165.00. Compensation is determined by a number of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s individual qualifications, experience, education, skills, and certifications, as well as the University’s business needs and external factors
