About Ragsdale Vision
Established in 1957, Dr. Ragsdale, father and son, has served the Denton communities with the highest level of full-scope optometric care. The Optometrists are certified in the medical treatment and management of ocular diseases, screening and treatment for cataracts and glaucoma, surgical co-management, contact lenses, and other ocular conditions. Dr. Ragsdale is also an expert in hard-to-fit contact lenses and is the preferred provider in the area for soft and rigid contacts when necessary, as well as specialty fittings for monovision, keratoconus, or aphakic patients. To help support ongoing practice growth and continue the legacy service the patients know and expect, Dr. Ragsdale is looking to add an Optometrist to the team of 12 employees.
As a long-standing business in the community, this practice focuses on providing patients with quality vision solutions and exceptional customer service. The practice is well-appointed with automated optical equipment and behind-the-scenes functional technology, including Optomap, high-definition OCT, visual fields, retina photos, scanning laser testing, and specialized equipment to polish rigid lenses for comfort. Cloud-based software manages electronic health records and establishes a baseline for patients' health while monitoring ocular changes. Patients enjoy a family-friendly shopping experience as they browse a wide selection of optical frames and sunglasses from the optical boutique—plus, the Opticians offer personalized support to select the best frames for fashion and lifestyle preferences.
About the Optometrist Opening
Ragsdale Vision Center is seeking a part-time or full-time Optometrist who genuinely cares about the patient experience and is dedicated to providing top-notch eye care to ensure optimal vision. You'll perform comprehensive eye exams and ocular medical visits for patients of all ages, medical, and visual conditions—an average of 20 patients are cared for daily. The practice is looking for a friendly doctor with the ability to efficiently perform exams while making patients feel welcome at Ragsdale Vision Center. This is an excellent opportunity to directly impact the success of an established practice and care for a variety of patients and conditions.
To be successful in this role, you must demonstrate leadership, excellent patient communication skills, interpersonal skills, and compassion for patient health and safety. In addition, the ideal candidate will be ambitious for new opportunities, responsible, service-oriented, community-involved, and willing to integrate new techniques and innovations that improve patient care and services.

Optometry license in the state of Texas
