Job Summary:

The Office Coordinator for Catholic Campus Ministry (CCM) provides support to the daily operation of the CCM office based at the Newman House, Bucknell University’s home for Catholic Campus Ministry. This position will be responsible for coordinating and implementing the day-to-day operations of the program. The Office Coordinator will work under the direct supervision of the Assistant Catholic Campus Minister and will also support the work of the Catholic Chaplain, especially in regards to tasks needing completion by the Diocese of Harrisburg. Catholic Campus Ministry reports to the Office of Religious and Spiritual Life and is a part of the Diversity and Inclusion team within the Division of Student Affairs. The Office Coordinator is a full-time Bucknell employee, additionally the Roman Catholic Diocese of Harrisburg provides support towards this position. This is a ten-month position and includes some weekend and evening work.

Job Duties:

Reporting Relationships:  

  • This role reports to the Assistant Catholic Campus Minister Culture and Human Resources  

 Work Setting/Schedule:  

  • On campus student facing role

  • This is a full-time role at 35 hours per week, 43 weeks per year = 10 months, August - May

What You Will Do:

  • Coordinates day-to-day administrative operations to ensure a high-functioning office environment; serves as the primary point of contact for departmental inquiries and facility management.

  • Optimizes office workflows and business processes, ensuring that administrative tasks align with the department’s strategic goals and the University’s mission.  Acts as the departmental liaison to campus partners to facilitate service requests and resolve operational bottlenecks. Works with other departments and customers to expedite inquiries and processes.

  • Provides administrative support for budget monitoring and procurement; processes travel reimbursements, reconciliations, and vendor payments in accordance with fiscal policy.  Ensures accounts are appropriately managed.

  • Coordinates logistics for departmental events, committee meetings, and special programs, including space reservations, catering, and guest accommodations.

  • Reviews and revises contracts and other department documents/files

  • The job description's listed responsibilities and task are not exhaustive, additional non-essential tasks and responsibilities may be assigned as needed.

What You Will Bring:

Required: 

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required

  • Two (2) or more years of related experience

Preferred Requirements:

  • Associated Degree

  • Four (4) or more years of experience in budgeting, accounting or related field

Physical Requirements:

  • Office environment/no specific or unusual physical or environmental demands

Salary Range:

18.40-23.00

The offer rate will be based on a review of the candidate's credentials compared to the qualifications of the position, internal equity, and our overall compensation philosophy. 

This role is not budgeted for visa sponsorship, all candidates must be authorized to work in the US without a need for current or future visa sponsorship.
