Primary Objective:  

Responsible for receiving MRO (non-raw materials) and assisting with stocking, restocking, cycle counting, issuing, maintaining system and storeroom accuracy. 

 

Major Function and Scope:   

  • Complies with company safety rules and procedures. 

  • Receives inbound shipments of spare parts, including unpacking, inspecting, counting, updating information system, processing paperwork, labeling, and stocking on the shelf.  

  • Keeps spare parts information system up to date, including timely updates of receipts, consumption, cycle counts, material movements etc.  

  • Conducts cycle counts as needed to validate spare parts quantities and locations, and assists with annual physical counts of all spare parts locations.  

  • Maintains ongoing order and cleanliness in storerooms, creating locations, making recommendations for space consolidation, new shelving, etc. Executes general house cleaning duties. 

  • Maintain all necessary records and documents to facility SOX compliance, including paperwork regarding receipts, inventory counts, audits, and adjustments.  

  • Resolves discrepancies between system and physical counts by working with supervisor, Finance, Plant Management, and others to trouble-shoot and provide permanent solutions to prevent reoccurrence. 

  • Operates forklift and electric pallet jack to load and unload trucks, and move materials (pallets, packaging materials, etc.), as necessary to support operations 

  • Performs general PC functions using PMC, Microsoft outlook, and other software as necessary 

  • Attend any job-related training deemed necessary by supervision   

  • Follow all established standard operating procedures   

  • Perform general housekeeping duties as necessary  

  • Perform other tasks assigned by management 

  

Type of Experience and Knowledge: 

  • High school diploma or equivalent experience 

  • Knowledge of inventory management and/or MRO parts required 

  • 1+ years of inventory experience preferred 

  • Forklift operator experience required 

  • Prior experience with attention to detail and high-level organization work required 

  • Ability to research, escalate, and resolve issues effectively  

  • Ability to successfully complete tasks with limited oversight 

  • Experience with Microsoft Suite of Products including MS Excel, Outlook, and Word 

  • Ability to work both independently and within a team setting, including frequent communication with various Departments via email, phone, and in-person conversations 

  

Physical Requirements / Other Pertinent Job Information: 

  • This position requires the team member to work with machinery in an environment where there may be exposure to noise from machinery, dust, and variable temperatures. Appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) may be required, including eye protection, hearing protection, safety shoes, and high visibility clothing.  

  • Other working conditions may include working 12 hours shifts and a fixed shift rotation, including holidays  

  • Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.; walking, bending, squatting, climbing ladders and stairs are required
