If you have these abilities and a drive to achieve financial goals, set strategic vision and make a difference, then we want to hear from you!As a leader for Cyber Insurance within our Underwriting Performance team, you will deliver market-leading product line expertise to drive profitable performance through underwriting excellence by guiding multiple Commercial, E&S/Specialty business in risk selection, appetite, guidelines, coverage, and pricing for Cyber. This Position will be part of our Financial Lines Center of Excellence and will report to the Financial Lines COE leader. You will work across Nationwide’s Commercial, Excess and Surplus/Specialty business portfolio and value chain partners to provide best-in-class underwriting, pricing, processes, and governance.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Thought Leadership - Provide profit driven thought leadership to the Nationwide Commercial, E&S/Specialty organization on market trends in data usage, pricing, coverage, and appetite. Acquire and leverage market intelligence to compare to peers' and position designated products to ensure a competitive fit for partners/customers.
Operational Excellence - Establish and maintain Cyber liability portfolio best practices across Commercial, Nationwide E&S/Specialty. Lead underwriting process improvements, underwriting guideline enhancements, training and referrals as needed. Assist with underwriting audits as needed by the Quality Team. Working with Reinsurance team to assist placement as needed.
Portfolio Optimization - Develop effective collaboration with Pricing Actuaries to ensure the portfolio is adequately priced, controlled and monitored.
Talent Development – Lead Nationwide Commercial, E&S/Specialty associates on future of work skill development and education along with team effectiveness and development.
Participate in business reviews at a portfolio, product, and key account level. Engage in execution of corrective action plans to achieve profitability targets.
May perform other responsibilities as assigned.

Typical Skills and Experiences:
Education: An undergraduate degree is required in Business, Finance, Insurance, Economics, Statistics, or related field
Experience: 10+ years of Cyber insurance underwriting including tech industry E&O. Demonstrates expertise as well on underwriting risk and mitigation including claims outcomes. Experience in regulatory, analytics, rate/rule/and form filings and profitability. Management is preferred. Experience in both admitted and no
