Team Overview

The Sr. Manager, Tax will be reporting to Global Head of Tax.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for quarterly and annual tax provision (ASC 740).
  • Prepare/Review effective tax rate reconciliations.
  • Prepare/Review analytics on uncertain tax positions (ASC740-10 FKA: FIN48) from various income tax filings, including the calculation of tax reserves.
  • Analyze and recalculate deferred tax roll forwards to ensure balances reconcile to its support and offline calculations.
  • Prepare/Review tax provision memo for quarterly and annual tax provision.
  • Manage responses to external auditor’s inquiries for the tax provision calculation.
  • Prepare/Review return to provision adjustments for Federal and State corporate taxes.
  • Prepare/Review tax account roll forward schedule.
  • Analyze valuation allowance quarterly.
  • Monitor any changes in tax statutes and regulations and determine the impact on the Company's financial statements.
  • Prepare/Review R&D tax credit calculation for quarterly and annual tax provision.
  • Prepare/Review Sec 174 capitalization calculation for quarterly and annual tax provision.
  • Analyze and calculate cash tax forecast.
  • Manage annual R&D credit study.
  • Manage annual Sec 174 capitalization analysis.
  • Manage SOX process and documentation for income tax area.
  • Review/Assist preparing the filings of the US federal and state corporate income tax returns.
  • Prepare/Review quarterly estimated tax calculations and extensions.
  • Prepare/Review tax related memorandums to support companies tax return filings and positions.
  • Prepare/Review FBAR filing.
  • Respond to inquiries from tax authorities in connection to notices and examinations.
  • Drive and manage other projects as needed.

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • 15+ years of corporate tax experience with BIG4 experience.
  • CPA
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Business, Finance or quantitative field.
  • Strong experience in quarterly and annual tax provision (ASC 740).
  • Strong experience with federal and state income tax compliance (filing corporate tax returns).
  • Strong experience with a variety of tax operations and ability to drive process improvements.
  • Extensive corporate tax experience.
  • Strong accounting, analytical, and research skills.
  • Strong knowledge of tax code, compliance, and procedures for corporations.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong ability to utilize project management and accounting best practices to organize and prioritize tasks.
  • A high attention to detail with strong analytical abilities will be vital to this position, in addition to providing creative ideas to drive initiatives in process improvement.
  • Ability to work well independently as well as the ability to work well with stakeholders and communicate the benefits of tax initiatives.
  • Strong leadership, organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-starter attitude.
  • Strong skills and experience with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, OneSource, etc.
