Under the direction of the Manager or Supervisor, responsible for accurate processing and reporting of securities transactions, settlements, and custody. This position coordinates workflow activities of the department to ensure that services are reliably, timely and accurately delivered. Services should meet the quality expectations of our customers in accordance with and in support of department and division activities and objectives.
- Ensures that various reports are produced in a timely and accurate manner. Keeps abreast of accounting and financial reporting requirements.
- Assists in establishing and maintaining policies and procedures relative to the departments function. Coordinates activities of the department to ensure that established goals and objectives are met.
- Communicates and works with other department staff, supervisors, managers, internal and external customers, and technical support staff to ensure uninterrupted workflow.
- Administers accounts per policy and procedures, laws and regulations, and governing documents, Responds to all internal and external client requests on a timely basis. Independently handles all operational requirements of accounts. Completes various memos, reports, balancing functions, and internal and external correspondence, as appropriate.
- Assists with the coordination and testing of system updates, enhancements, conversions, and process improvements. Keeps informed of current bank policies and procedures, governmental laws, and regulations.
- Serves as back up to other staff within the department in the event staff levels are insufficient to meet production deadlines as needed.
- Performs and coordinates special projects as required. Conducts research and analysis, recommends alternatives, develops task plans, and ensures implementation.
- Performs all other miscellaneous responsibilities and duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in related field from an accredited institution or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum 5 to 7 years of related work in Trust Operations or equivalent.
- Demonstrated proficiency with personal computers in a networked environment and Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint) or similar software. Knowledge of or ability to use Bank software and systems.
- Demonstrated writing and verbal communications skills. Strong research, analytical and effective interpersonal skills. Able to manage multiple assignments and work in a collaborative team environment. Demonstrated organizational skills and attention to detail. Able to work flexible hours to include evenings, weekends, and holidays as required. For selected areas, must be able to lift up to 25 pounds, push a file cart, use a step stool for filing and retrieving folders, bend, and stretch.
