JOB DESCRIPTION:
At the University of Vermont Medical Center, we understand that nutrition and food systems are inextricably linked to the health of our patients and our community. Nutrition Services position scheduling Medical Nutrition Therapy appointments for patients to meet with a Registered Dietitian. The incumbent is responsible for scheduling and managing referrals, and other day-to-day clinic needs. The Patient Service Specialist is an integral part of the patient experience and a key contributor to delivering high quality customer service to our patients and visitors that is caring, consistent and reliable. The incumbent provides administrative support in the clinic setting to patients and families, Registered Dietitians, and administrative leaders to ensure the smooth operation of clinic and patient scheduling.

EDUCATION:
H.S. diploma or equivalent required; Coursework in administrative or medical sciences preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
Proven customer service experience required. Experience in a clinical and/or administrative setting preferred.
