Maintenance Assistant

The Oaks at Toms River is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to join our team!

The Oaks at Toms River is a Springpoint Senior Living Affordable Housing Community located in Toms River, NJ. We are seeking a full-time Maintenance Assistant to support the Maintenance Supervisor and provide general maintenance services for the facility and its residents, ensuring the facility is clean, free of dirt and debris and a safe and acceptable environment for the residents, staff, and visitors.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain the cleanliness and upkeep of the common areas of the building.
• To remove and dispose of all trash and recyclables as per the established schedule.
• Respond to residents’ request for service.
• To handle all cleaning chemicals in accordance with OSHA regulations and abide by infection control standards.
• To inspect and maintain the grounds of the facility, including general cleanup of the front walkways, side entrances, etc.
• To assist with snow removal as needed.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• 2 Years experience in a maintenance role preferred

Full-time: 40 hours/week, Monday – Friday (8am – 4:30pm)

Pay Rate: $22 / hour
