Description
As part of the Program Team, the Program Coordinator, Aerospace -North Region at Girl Scouts of Western Washington ensures youth members in grades K-12 receive consistent, quality aviation and space science workshops and events with a primary focus on members in Whatcom, Skagit, Snohomish, San Juan, Island, and King Counties and elsewhere as assigned. The Program Coordinator will perform administrative and logistical duties related to the Aerospace Program and is responsible for the planning and facilitation of aviation and space science workshops, events, and camps in both in-person and virtual environments. This role works independently, as part of a small team, and in partnership with community organizations such as The Museum of Flight. While this position is designated as remote, it does have in-person responsibilities.
This position is funded by Boeing and is financially supported through September 30, 2025. Funding for this position is reviewed annually to determine opportunities for extension.
This is a regular, part-time (20 hours per week), non-exempt role that requires residency in Washington State, preferably within the communities of focus that it serves, but successful candidates must be willing and able to come into a GSWW office or alternative work site as needed or when requested. While the full pay range for this position is $23.58 to $27.74 per hour based on tenure with GSSW, this position will start at $23.58 per hour for purposes of internal pay equity.

Requirements
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Support the Program Manager by coordinating aviation and space science program event logistics (calendaring/venues), building and managing events in Salesforce/Hybris, monitoring registration statistics and demographics, preparing rosters, and processing program evaluations.
- Work with marketing tools such as Canva on programming and event promotions for posting on social media platforms and distributing via various methods.
- Manage and maintain Aerospace Program supply and material inventory - 1) Track usage of program supplies to ensure timely ordering and delivery for necessary workshops 2) Coordinate with program partners to gather workshop materials and mail or distribute them to youth members as necessary.
- Assist with implementation and delivery of aviation and space science program events, including program facilitation for youth in grades K-12 in virtual and in-person classroom-type settings
- Assist in development of program curriculum and lesson plans with engaging, high-quality, and varied content and ensure standards are up to date as needed.
- Seeks out subject matter experts and role models to supplement programming.
- Assist in development and nurturing of program partnerships and relationships with subject matter experts that support the Aerospace Program.
- Collaborate with Community Development Managers to utilize grant-funded programming to support recruitment activities, and work with the Camp Program Department to bring aviation and space science programs to summer camp.
- Manage cases and events in Salesforce and Hybris, requiring a comprehensive understanding of business processes relating to Girl Scouts’ customer and event registration.
- Understand and implement the Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, Racial Justice, and Belonging (DEIRJB) platform of GSWW and our grant partners, including a focus on at-risk and underserved populations.
