Role Responsibilities:

  • Design, prototype, engineer, test, and launch state-of-the-art features for ADAS/Autonomous Driving, pushing the boundaries of what's possible in this exciting field.
  • Innovate and create new technologies and solutions that will transform the industry and bring groundbreaking products to market.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure a seamless and robust implementation of our advanced technologies.
  • Utilize your expertise in one or more of the following areas related to Motion Planning and Control for ADAS/Autonomous Driving: trajectory planning, route planning, behavioral planning, optimization-based planning, motion prediction, environment modeling, and scene interpretation.
  • Demonstrate your mastery of modeling skills using tools like Matlab/Simulink or similar and/or showcase your proficiency in production-level C++ coding.
  • Combine your visionary thinking with meticulous attention to detail to drive projects to success.
  • Leverage your knowledge of autonomous systems, ADAS/Autonomous Driving, and/or Robotics to contribute to the forefront of the industry.
  • Manage complex embedded hardware-software systems with a practical hands-on approach, complementing theoretical knowledge with real-world problem-solving skills.
  • Communicate effectively and collaborate with team members to foster a productive and inspiring work environment.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Automotive Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience, or a Ph.D. in a related field with 1 year of work experience.
  • Proficiency in additional programming languages (e.g. C/C++, Python, bash script, JavaScript, Matlab, etc.).
  • Experience using Git or similar distributed version control systems.
  • Knowledge of tree-based decision-making schemes or AI-based decision-making algorithms like reinforcement learning.
  • Expertise in component and system integration, testing, and verification on unit, system, and vehicle levels.
  • Experience in automotive supplier interaction, specification development, release management, and change management.
  • Experience with MIL/SIL/DIL/HIL testing and scenario test automation, along with CI tools like Jenkins, Gitlab-CI, etc.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in automotive engineering, aerospace engineering, Mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, computer science
  • 3+ years of relevant work experience, or a Ph.D. in a related field with 1 year of work experience.
  • Advanced degrees are preferred and will be considered a significant asset.
  • Familiarity with ROS or other middleware systems.
  • Previous experience working in larger teams and using Agile development tools and environments.
  • Familiarity with functional safety standards such as ISO26262, FMEA, AUTOSAR, and applicable safety regulations, industry benchmarks, and customer requirements.
Salary Range: The compensation range for this position is specific to the locations listed below and is the range Lucid reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position taking into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including job-related knowledge; skillset; experience, education and training; certifications; and other relevant business and organizational factors.·       California (Bay Area) - $127,000 - $181,500
