FLSA Status: Non-exempt (Hourly)

Schedule: Wednesday - Friday ~ 7:15 AM - 3:45 PM

Reports to: Principal


Summary:

 The Front Desk Receptionist is the first point of contact that a visitor has when they arrive at Sacred Heart Catholic School. They are responsible for assisting with a variety of daily tasks to ensure successful operations in all areas. The Front Desk Receptionist works closely with the Principal and Administrative Assistant to perform tasks necessary for continued operations. The individual must be organized, positive, flexible, take initiative, and able to handle multiple and varied tasks at a time. The Front Office Receptionist facilitates the efficient operation of the school by performing a variety of clerical and administrative tasks.


Position Responsibilities:

  • Greets and directs visitors appropriately.
  • Assists visitors by answering or referring inquiries professionally and courteously.
  • Performs basic data entry when needed.
  • Maintains reception area to be clean and organized.
  • Receives and sorts daily mail and delivery packages.
  • Answers and transfers phone calls.
  • Maintains filing systems as assigned
  • Responds to and resolves administrative inquiries and questions.
  • Maintains office supplies and coordinates maintenance of office equipment.
  • Adheres to safety training and protocols on a daily basis and takes precautionary measures to ensure the safety and well-being of self and others.   
  • Responsible for protecting the confidentiality of any information or material obtained in the service of the school to include but not limited to student names and information, donors' names and gifts, internal and external investigations or results of any investigations, and financial information.
  • Adheres to the Archdiocesan Code of Conduct and the Faith and Morals policy of the Catholic faith.
  • Performs other duties as assigned. 


Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

Education:

  • High school Diploma or equivalent

Experience:

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a professional administrative or related capacity.
  • Bilingual (preferred)

License and Credentials:

  • Reliable transportation
  • Valid driver license

Minimum Knowledge and Skills: 

  • Experience with computer software and Microsoft Office Applications
  • Must be detail oriented, organized, self-motivated, work well independently and on a team
  • Must have good written and verbal skills
  • Must have good critical thinking and problem solving skills
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environment.
  • Always maintain confidentiality.
  • Supports and upholds the philosophy of Catholicism and the mission of the school. 
  • Adherence to the Code of Conduct and the Faith and Moral Policy is mandatory.
