Basic Job Functions:

Work independently and with team members to perform senior level server and storage functions with multiple technologies.

Education/Experience:

  • Minimum 6 years of related work experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field or equivalent years of work experience.

Required Skills/Competencies:

  • 2+ years of experience in Orchestrator, general automation, PowerShell, and other scripting.
  • Ability to test, debug, and extend automation solutions and tools.
  • Automation and IT technical support of an operating manufacturing facility.
  • 4+ years of experience and/or working knowledge of Windows and VMWare software. 
  • Senior level knowledge of server hardware (Dell, Cisco UCS and others a plus).  Experience should include monitoring, installation, configuration, tuning and management.
  • Experience with Microsoft Exchange required and O365 a plus.
  • 4+ years of experience with the Storage Area Network environment desired.
  • 4+ years of experience with a 24/7 Datacenter Environment desired.
  • 4+ years of experience with Microsoft SCOM/SCCM Server desired.
  • 4+ years of experience with VMware ESX Server desired.
  • Senior level knowledge of enterprise level SANs (Primera, 3par, EMC, etc.). 
  • Senior knowledge of backup and storage concepts.
  • Experience with PowerShell required
  • Advanced knowledge of storage tuning, gathering data and presenting storage statistics to support required/requested storage-based performance initiatives.
  • Senior expertise automating server OS creation including storage provisioning and OS updates.
  • Expertise of SAN Replication Technologies.
  • Senior expertise Knowledge of patch management practices for a Microsoft Windows environment.
  • Knowledge of Windows and Linux patch management practices.
  • Familiarity with ITIL a plus.
  • Exposure to SOX controls, processes, etc. 
  • Working knowledge and/or prior experience in Cloud offerings (SaS, IaaS, PasS) a plus. 
  • Working knowledge of NERC/CIP.

Essential Responsibilities:

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Work with inter/intra team members around the globe to research, plan, implement and support IT flexible, high availability solutions.
  • Work with enterprise infrastructure including but not limited to: MS Active Directory, MS Active Directory Group Policies, MS Exchange, MS Clusters, MS SMS, MS SQL, Microsoft Antivirus, HPE SANs, VMWare, and monitoring tools.
  • Utilize project management skills and manage day-to-day priorities. 
  • Support network and internet protocols and applications including but not limited to WINS, DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, IIS, SNMP, SMTP, Interface Redundancy, SSL.
  • Research, test, and implement business continuity, including disaster recovery, patch management, security, etc. 
  • Evaluate, diagnose and troubleshoot complex hardware/software issues. 
  • Create, modify and keep network documentation.
  • Adheres to all safety procedures and good housekeeping standards.

  • Maintains specific technical knowledge of infrastructure automation skills like PowerShell, orchestrator, and other scripting technologies. Provides detailed advice regarding the application and executes specialized tasks for managers and associates.

Contributes to briefings and presentations about their relevance and potential value to the organization.
  • Undertakes routine installation and decommission of hardware and software. Take action to ensure targets are met within established safety and quality procedures, including, where appropriate, handovers to the client. Conducts tests of hardware and/or software using supplied test procedures and diagnostic tools. Corrects malfunctions, calling on other experienced colleagues and external resources if required. Documents details of all hardware/software items that have been installed and removed so that configuration management records can be updated.
