What We Are Looking For

Baylor University is seeking an Administrative Associate to support the mission of the university. This position will support the Department of Journalism.

A High School Diploma and one year of relevant work experience is required. A Bachelor’s Degree and three years of relevant work experience is preferred. 

Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

What You Will Do

  • Develop digital communication content that increases department engagement
  • Assist with scheduling courses and issuing waivers
  • Oversee the department's digital landscape on social media
  • Manage department recruitment content
  • Assist with event planning
  • Handle incoming correspondence, including mail, emails, and phone calls
  • Track and organize office inventory and handle purchase orders
  • Maintain the department's website information to accurately reflect the department's brand and calendar 
  • Perform all other duties as assigned to support Baylor's mission
  • Ability to comply with University policies
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance
