The expected ENTRY pay range for this position based on experience and equity within the Judicial Branch is $22.09 to $24.19.

This position is Non-Exempt under the FLSA.

About the Position

The Administrative Assistant will provide direct organizational supports for department projects developed and managed by the Innovations and Communications team.  Primary duties will include providing assistance to the Volunteer and Internship Program, Hope Closet, GED Program and a variety of ongoing departmental initiatives.

Position Qualifications

We recognize your time is valuable, so please apply if you meet the following required qualifications:

Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED

Experience:

  • Three (3) years of responsible clerical and administrative experience

OR

Combined Education and Experience Qualifications:

  • An equivalent combination of education and job-related experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis

Other Requirements:  

  • Ability to pass a comprehensive background check

  • No prior criminal arrests

Our Preferred Candidate Has:

  • Project Management skills including but not limited to, coordination, public speaking, research, and collaboration.

  • Prior probation or court-related experience.

  • Experience with Microsoft Office.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Knowledge of:

  • Administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as managing files and records, designing forms and other office procedures.

  • Office practices, procedures, and clerical processes.

  • Computer software including but not limited to word processing, spreadsheets, database applications, and Artificial Intelligence (AI).

Skill in:

  • Working independently and in a team setting.

  • Advanced features of Office 365, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook, SharePoint, [TM1] Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Interacting with and obtaining information from clients and stakeholders.

  • Professional oral and written communication.

  • Excellent proofreading skills with an exceptional attention to detail.

  • Organization and time management.

  • Providing exemplary customer service.

Ability to:

  • Maintain high levels of professionalism, confidentiality, and cultural sensitivity in all interactions.

  • Work in a secure care and community probation setting with staff, youth, and their families.

  • Communicate effectively both orally and in writing with a wide variety of stakeholders.

  • Evaluate and process complex information and recommend appropriate action.
