About The Role:
Intelliguard has an excellent opportunity for a Senior Accountant to join our team in Columbus, OH reporting to the Corporate Controller. We’re looking for an experienced Senior Accountant with a strong track record of leading month-end and year-end closing processes accurately and in compliance with accounting standards. Skilled in managing general ledger activities and handling complex reconciliations. Experienced in coordinating audits and maintaining robust internal controls, and regulatory compliance. Adept at mentoring and leading accounting teams to enhance performance and operational efficiency. Committed to identifying and implementing process improvements and system upgrades. Works collaboratively with senior management and cross-functional teams to deliver actionable financial insights that influence business outcomes.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Lead the preparation, review, and analysis of accurate financial statements in compliance with GAAP, ensuring timely and insightful reporting to senior leadership.
- Oversee the general ledger maintenance and reconciliation processes, resolving complex accounting issues and ensuring data integrity.
- Manage month-end and year-end closing activities, coordinating across departments to meet deadlines and improve cycle efficiency.
- Oversee the preparation and timely filing of federal, state, and local tax returns.
- Develop, implement, and monitor internal controls to strengthen financial governance and compliance.
- Serve as the primary liaison with internal and external auditors, preparing audit materials, addressing inquiries, and leading corrective action plans.
- Supervise, mentor, and develop junior accounting staff, fostering a high-performing team and supporting professional growth.
- Lead initiatives to streamline accounting processes through automation, best practices, and system enhancements.
- Collaborate closely with finance leadership and cross-functional teams to align accounting operations with broader business objectives.
- Participate in strategic projects, contributing financial expertise to drive business improvements and support management decision-making.
- Manage and maintain accounting systems, lead upgrades, integrations, and system enhancements.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
We Would Love To Hear From You, If:
- Education: Bachelor’s in Accounting
- Experience: Minimum 4+ years of experience in Accounting
- Bonus: CPA or progress toward CPA
