The Front of House Supervisor is responsible for meeting or exceeding all standards of quality, productivity, and customer service to all residents, prospective residents, and guests in all dining rooms in accordance with property policies and procedures. Additionally, they will be responsible for hiring, evaluating, coordinating, motivating, monitoring performance, scheduling, and supervising the department staff. They will also make recommendations to the Executive Director with respect to staff evaluations, merit pay increases, reprimands, disciplinary actions, and terminations.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise the service of meals to ensure maximum resident enjoyment of the dining experience and that the services are delivered to residents in a continuous, predictable, and efficient manner.
- Assist residents and other servers in all areas of resident meal service (salads, soup, entrees, beverages, desserts, etc.) as necessary.
- Responsible for ensuring the dining room POS system is operating efficiently, accurately, and timely. Trouble-shoots any problems that arise and trains staff on the use of systems.
- Assure compliance with all proper serving techniques/etiquette (e.g., serving from left, clearing used dishes between courses, etc.)
- Supervise performance of all cleaning and side work in the dining room and kitchen areas. Establish and post side work assignments for all dining room personnel on all shifts.
- Chart and assign dining room sections for wait staff, if needed
- Ensure proper set up of dining room tables and server stations with all utensils, chinaware, glassware, sugars, salt, pepper, creamers, and crackers, fill beverage machines and make coffee, juice, etc. as needed.
- Bus tables and return all dishes to the kitchen. Clean tables and chairs after meals and sweep, vacuum and pick up floor areas, as needed. Flip tables by replacing linens, as needed.
