About the Work:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Director of Engineering to join Honor. As the Senior Director of Engineering, you will play a critical role in leading and overseeing many of our engineering teams, driving technical strategy, and ensuring the successful delivery of our product roadmap. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including designers, product managers, and executives, to shape the future of our technology platform.Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage multiple teams of talented engineers and engineering managers, providing guidance, mentorship, and fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture.
- Define and drive the technical vision, strategy, and roadmap for Honor.
- Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of Product features, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.
- Collaborate with designers and product managers to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Ensure the delivery of production-grade features, leveraging your expertise in scaling services and UX of an ever evolving in-home care landscape.
- Champion best practices for software development, code quality, and system architecture.
- Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies, identifying opportunities to leverage new tools and frameworks.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and growth within the engineering team.
- Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to align technology initiatives with business goals.
- Proven experience leading the design and implementation of large-scale projects, preferably in hyper growth stages of a company.
- Minimum of 8-10 years of experience managing technical teams
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Expertise in managing multi platform teams building backend services, designing data models, mobile and web experiences through connecting various layers within a technology stack.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, cross-functional team environment, collaborating closely with designers and product managers.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
- A passion for continuous learning and staying up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in software engineering.
- Experience working very closely with the data teams to incorporate ML/AI models/outputs into the web workflows serving end users.
- Prior experience working in the healthcare or in-home care industry.
- Advanced degree in Computer Science or a related field.

Our range reflects the hiring range for this position. We use national average to determine pay as we are a remote first company. Individual pay is based on a number of factors including qualifications, skills, experience, education, and training.
Base pay is just a part of our total rewards program. Honor offers generous equity packages that increase with position level and responsibilities, and a 401K with up to a 4% employer match.
We provide medical, dental and vision coverage including zero cost plans for employees.
