The Engineering Prototyping & Fabrication department is seeking Software Engineers to work in an engineering environment to co-develop engineering software and hardware in accordance with customer and internal requirements, as well as industry standards. Candidates will collaborate with multi-disciplined design teams across multiple projects to bring design concepts to fruition, providing rapid engineering, fabrication, and prototyping solutions throughout the entire product lifecycle.
What You Will Do:
- Architect, design, and integrate software solutions
- Work with various trades and designs for developmental programs within the Engineering Prototyping and Fabrication shop (The Bike Shop).
- Enforce code reviews and team adherence to software configuration management (CM).
- Mentor junior software developers.
What You Will Learn:
- System level knowledge of developmental programs.
- Experience working across multi-disciplined group of engineers.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience.
- Integration experience including hardware, software and/or firmware.
- Experience troubleshooting systems using test equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, network analyzers, and/or spectrum analyzers.
- he ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Knowledge of or experience with software languages such as C#, Python, C, C++, LabVIEW, TestStand, ATEasy.
- Experience designing, building, integrating and modifying complex test stations, GUIs, and embedded applications.
- Knowledge of or experience with Azure dev op, including scrum and git repository experience.
- Knowledge of or experience with equipment rack assembly, cable assembly/installation and/or electronics maintenance.
- Strong organization, coordination, planning, teaming skills, as well as written and oral communication skills.
- Knowledge of networking and IP addressed based equipment.
- Highly motivated individual with a positive attitude.
- Able to work and interface with a cross-discipline team.
- Familiar with various communication interfaces such as RS-232, RS-485, Ethernet, CAN, 1553.
