Job Description
We have an exciting opportunity to join our Propositions and Partnerships marketing team as a Senior Marketing Manager – Acquisition & Retention.
Partnerships are key to our success as a global academic publisher. We contract with hundreds of academic and professional societies, associations, institutions and other organisations to publish research in journals and books, and we build and develop partnerships with Key Opinion Leaders, Editors and editorial board members on delivery and promotion of research. This role expertly leads on the planning and delivery of compelling propositions and marketing plans to meet the needs of these partners, expanding acquisition, engagement, retention and renewal.
This role will lead a team of Marketing Managers to plan campaigns and deliver briefs to the specialist marketing functions that clearly articulate outcomes and business drivers to support our propositions and partnerships goals. Working within a matrixed organisation it is also essential that they build relationships, collaborate and influence others to achieve progress and success.

What you’ll be doing:
- Take the lead on developing the propositions for three key partnership groups: Editors;, Societies and other publishing partners; and Key Opinion Leaders, working with Marketing Managers.
- Societies & Partners: Work with the Director of Marketing and Marketing Managers to build a pipeline of partner leads mapped to revenue targets and ensure consistent delivery of proposition and brand in competitive tenders.
- Key Opinion Leaders: Work with Marketing Manager to deliver a pipeline of Key Opinion Leaders aligned to business drivers, with clear processes, outcomes and measures of success.
- Editor proposition: take the lead on utilizing data and insights to ensure the voice of the customer influences the development of the T&F editor proposition.
- Work with Managers and colleagues across the business to evolve and grow Engagement Programs for all three customer groups building on successes and developing new processes and services.
Qualifications
What we’re looking for:
- Excellent communication , influencing and presentation skills.
- Experienced manager with proven ability to lead teams. Experience of managing global teams desirable.
- Ability to motivate others, flexible and adaptable with the ability to successfully work across teams and functions, in a matrixed environment
- Results-oriented and independent marketer who can think outside the box, and who takes initiative to achieve results.
- Self-driven ensuring strategies are successfully implemented to achieve long-term sustainable results.
- Always looking for process and workflow improvements to support operational efficiency and manage resources to achieve maximum impact.
- Data-driven and customer-focused with the ability to drive insights from complex data and champion the voice of the customer.
