Our Newest Opportunity:
The Accounting Operations Specialist is responsible for the monitoring of market related accounting needs in partnership with the Division Controller.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
Own the monitoring of receivables, unapplied cash, and cash on account for the HM agency code
Reconcile company payables for those items under the HM agency code
Correspond with the servicing team regarding discrepancies, overdue balances, missing invoices, return premiums, etc.
Process check requests and direct bill advances for the HM agency code
Support the servicing team with urgent requests, NOCs, invoicing inquiries, one-off requests, etc.
Correspond with carrier/broker accounting reps regarding payment support, discrepancies, return premiums, etc.
Continues monitoring of producer comp statements ensuring accurate pay
Any additional tasks that may arise from time to time
Qualifications, Skills and Requirements:
Able to meet deadlines, and work well with others;
Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail;
Must be self-motivated, disciplined, and ability to thrive in fast-paced environment.
Education, Training and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting or Business with emphasis in Accounting, preferred;
Must be highly skilled in use of Microsoft Office.
Financial reporting experience, required;
Basic understanding of GAAP, required;
Experience with Dynamics GP, required;
Experience with SEC reporting, strongly preferred;
Accounts payable experience, helpful.
