The Accounting Intern will play a vital role in supporting the accounting team. This position involves hands-on experience in the realms of billing, collections, bank reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliations, along with a variety of administrative duties. The intern will also be involved in ad-hoc reporting and assignments, providing a well-rounded experience in a dynamic accounting environment.

What You’ll Do

•  Assist with basic accounting, documenting processes, recording journal entries, account analysis.
•  Support the Finance & Accounting team in day-to-day operations and special projects.
•  Collaborate with team members on setting up annual budget & budget templates.
•  Attend meetings and contribute ideas to ongoing projects.
•  Engage with customers for collection of payments.
•  Recovery of debt and resolve outstanding balances.
•  Maintain and keep records of payments collected
•  Perform required phone work, including speaking with clients and internal teammates to communicate clearly and professionally. 
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What You Bring

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

•  Strong knowledge and experience in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Microsoft Excel.
•  Basic understanding of financial principles and procedures.
•  Superb verbal and written communication skills. 
•  Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
•  Excellent organizational and time-management skills
• Comfortable and confident communicating via phone with clients and internal team members.
•  Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
