We’re currently looking for a Senior Accounting Analyst – Internal Controls to join our team in Franklin, TN.
This role will support the Specialized Accounting team and Accounting Director. Analyst will monitor company’s internal control framework and report on internal/external audit findings. This role will contribute to enhancing existing control framework by ensuring compliance with company policies.
Job functions include but are not limited to:
• Perform detailed reviews of account reconciliations and journal entries
• Maintain JE Master Control List. Support ad hoc additions/revisions.
• Prepare monthly budget accrual entries for Accounting and Process Control groups
• Monitor/support monthly and quarterly OAR activities
• Monitor/support quarterly external audit activities
• Use analytical and critical thinking skills to support team and assist customers
• Comply with company policies and generally accepted accounting principles
• Interact with internal and external clients (Americas region and NML)
• Prepare executive presentations related to internal controls and audits
• Facilitate and lead monthly internal control meetings
• Support Sr. Manager with annual shopping baskets
• Identify and track business process improvements
• Perform other ad hoc assignments and related duties, as needed
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting
• Five or more years of related professional level experience
• Firm understanding of generally accepted accounting principles and financial statements
• Excellent analytical, verbal and written communication skills
• Highly attentive to details
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and responsibilities
• Good time management skills
• Thorough knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, other PC applications, and mainframe applications to produce non-standard, creative products.
• Demonstrated experience with internal controls and audit activities preferred
• MBA, MAcc, CPA or CIA preferred
