Accounting Clerk

Job Description:

Halo Industries is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accounting Clerk to join our Finance team. As an Accounting Clerk focused on processing invoices and payments, you will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring timely payment of invoices. You will work collaboratively with various departments and vendors to support the financial operations of the company.

Responsibilities:

Process accounts payable invoices accurately and efficiently, matching them with purchase orders and receiving documentation.

Verify the accuracy of invoice coding, ensuring proper general ledger account allocation and expense categorization.

Review and reconcile discrepancies between invoices, purchase orders, and receiving reports.

Communicate with vendors and internal departments to resolve invoice discrepancies or issues.

Prepare and process payments, including check runs, electronic funds transfers, and ACH payments.

Maintain vendor records, including contact information, payment terms, and tax documentation.

Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes related to accounts payable.

Provide support to the Finance team in preparing various financial reports and analyses.

Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures as well as relevant accounting regulations.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree in accounting or related field preferred.

1-2 years of experience in accounts payable processing and payments.

Proficiency in using accounting software (NetSuite preferred) and Microsoft Excel.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Basic understanding of accounting principles and concepts.

Organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

Positive attitude, problem-solving skills, and a willingness to learn and adapt.
