Accounting Analyst

JOB DESCRIPTION

SUMMARY

The Accounting Analyst will assist the Controller at Adient’s automotive seating plant in Georgetown, KY.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Accounting Analyst will assist the Controller with plant financial activities including GL accounting and reconciliations. 

• Support the month-end closing process including preparation of manual Journal Entries and ensuring appropriate cost allocations. 

• Monitor receivables and payables activity and address issues as necessary. 

• Maintain fixed asset folders to track capital projects from CAR to CIP to Assets Register. Maintain capital tracking, reporting, and analysis.

• Support inventory controls including annual physical inventory to ensure accurate inventory balances and perpetual analysis. 

• Support and promote Continuous Improvement initiatives. 

• Support controller in preparation of monthly outlook requirements as well as annual and long-range plans.

• Maintain internal controls processes and documentation related to Sarbanes Oxley compliance.  Support internal and external audit activities. 

• Maintain directed supply process and reporting (including intercompany charges)

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or finance required.  Knowledge of basic accounting theory and methods.

• Three or more years related work experience.  Preferably in a manufacturing environment. 

• Ability to work well under deadlines and pressure.

• Extensive use of MS Excel.  Preferred general knowledge of MRP & SAP systems.
