The Sr. Analyst, Materials Planning, SIOP will perform a variety of technical and business tasks in support of production factories or programs. This individual will support the associated tasks listed below which are necessary in order to prevent a work stoppage or a slip in schedule, both of which would have a significant impact to the factory and/or program’s cost and schedule requirements. This position will also directly support CORE and other continuous improvements.

What You Will Do

  • Material Stock Availability; creating the line of balance between customer demands, product inventory, and production levels.
  • Support analysis of multiple and moderate complexity, Bills of Material in an MRP system; releasing work orders and tracking material though the assembly process.
  • Evaluate and coordinate program requirements to ensure a controlled flow of materials and services to meet customer requirements.
  • Provide status on material availability, and potential supply problems to ensure that personnel, equipment, materials, and services are provided as needed.
  • Work daily to confirm material supply and demands.
  • Coordinate interdepartmental activities with quality assurance, manufacturing, purchasing, and engineering. Propose solutions to mitigate any work stoppage the factory teams may experience due to any slips in material orders.
  • Controls on hand material through its life cycle; issue to work orders or projects, returns to suppliers, ships to customers, etc.
  • This is an onsite position in Tucson, AZ.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a university degree or equivalent experience and minimum 2 years prior relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field.
  • Experience using Material Requirements Planning (MRP) processes and/or software.
  • Experience in manufacturing, planning, scheduling, material tracking, or relevant project management experience.
  • Active and transferable Secret clearance level required at time of application. U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date with the ability to obtain higher clearance prior to start date.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Experience with Special Program Access.
  • Experience with Kinaxis, CMES or similar software.
  • Material planning and order execution experience.
  • Experience with MS Office 360 (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook/Teams).
