Description
The School of Medicine seeks a faculty member for appointment as Assistant or Associate Professor, non-tenure track, in the Department of Anatomy. Responsibilities will include directing a graduate course in neuroanatomy or embryology and participating in other Anatomy courses for students in MD, MS, DDS, physician assistant, and undergraduate curricula. The faculty member will serve as a member of the Graduate Executive Committee and in other administrative roles in the department as needed.
Qualifications
Expected qualifications include a PhD in Anatomy or related field with experience teaching dissection-based gross anatomy and related disciplines at the graduate/professional level. Evidence of teaching effectiveness and innovation is strongly preferred. Interest in anatomy-based research will be viewed favorably, as will administrative experience with an anatomical gift program.
In compliance with the City of Cleveland’s Pay Transparency Ordinance (effective October 27, 2025), the annual starting base salary range for an Assistant Professor is from $69,600 - $102,500 and for an Associate Professoor is from $105,000 - $136,900. CWRU considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and organizational considerations when extending an offer.
