Owning and supporting plant OT network infrastructure, including switching, routing, firewall policies, VLAN segmentation, and system interconnects.
Maintaining and optimizing network performance to support high-availability manufacturing operations.
Implementing and managing OT-appropriate security controls, including firewalling and network segmentation for legacy and modern systems.
Supporting vulnerability scanning and remediation workflows (e.g., Nessus, CrowdStrike, Qualys) in coordination with corporate security teams.
Linux Systems Administration:
Administering Linux-based systems (Ubuntu/Debian) supporting manufacturing applications.
Performing OS upgrades, patching, and system optimization.
Managing user access, permissions, and system configurations.
Virtualization & Infrastructure Reliability:
Managing and maintaining virtualization environments (e.g., Proxmox, KVM, VMware).
Supporting and planning high-availability systems and future infrastructure upgrades.
Cross-Functional Collaboration and End User Support:
Partnering closely with manufacturing, electrical, mechanical, and systems engineering teams to deliver integrated solutions.
Provide end user support for manufacturing personnel including configuration and deployment of Android Handheld devices and benchtop kiosks.
Collaborating with IT, InfoSec, and external vendors to ensure alignment with enterprise standards.
Required Qualifications:
7+ years of experience in Linux system and network administration
Strong networking fundamentals (VLANs, subnetting, routing, firewall configuration)
Experience supporting manufacturing environments where uptime is critical
Proven ability to create and maintain clear technical documentation (network diagrams, runbooks, upgrade plans)
Hands-on experience with hardware (rack/stack, cabling, patching, troubleshooting)
Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with virtualization platforms such as Proxmox, KVM, or VMware
Experience with vulnerability scanning and remediation tools (e.g., Nessus)
Knowledge of LAMP stack environments (PHP/MySQL) or Linux-based web hosting
Experience with data pipelines and IoT systems (Kafka, Python ingestion, time-series databases such as InfluxDB, Timescale, or Druid)
Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with Security, IT, Engineering, and external partners
