JOB SUMMARY:
The clerk plays a crucial role in keeping things running smoothly by overseeing communications in the Hotel Housekeeping office and helping out with a variety of essential housekeeping tasks each day.
JOB ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Answer incoming calls from both guests and internal departments with a warm, friendly greeting
- Utilize, maintain, and monitor the daily status of Hotel Housekeeping systems to ensure all activities are completed within standards set by management
- Work with the supervisory team to create and maintain daily reports for distribution to Hotel management
- Assist with the delivery of guest requests when needed
- Perform the duties of the Room Attendant, Houseperson, Laundry Attendant, and Housekeeping Quality Assurance as needed
- Maintain a clean office environment
- Maintain all radio and device logs and inventory for the department, reporting discrepancies to leadership when discovered
- Endorse the business objectives, ethics, and values of Caesars Entertainment in accordance with the Code of Commitment and Mission, Vision, and Values
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- A high school diploma or GED is required
- One year of housekeeping experience is required
- Must demonstrate the following essential knowledge and skills:
- Must be highly self-motivated and self-directed with a strong attention to detail and an ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills and excellent interpersonal, guest service, team building, and problem-solving skills
- Must be able to operate a handheld device and use a handheld radio for communication
- Neat, professional appearance with excellent personal hygiene
- Proficient in the use of Windows-based office software including but not limited to Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- *Knowledge of hotel and housekeeping computer systems and programs
*Not required at time of hire; may be learned in the probationary period agreed upon at the time of hire
PHYSICAL, MENTAL, AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:
- Must be able to stoop, bend, reach, kneel, twist, push, pull, and grip items, work in small, shared office space, and walk and stand for long periods
- Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues and read, write, speak, and understand English
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and carry 5 pounds
- Must be able to work with various chemicals
- Must be able to operate equipment including, but not limited to, vacuum cleaner, mop, and broom
- Must be able to work around dogs/pets
- Must be able to tolerate areas containing varying noise and temperature levels, illumination, vibration, crowds, and air quality, including secondhand smoke
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings, and holidays
