THE OPPORTUNITY: Senior Product Manager, Supply Chain and Backend Systems

REPORTS TO: CTO

LOCATION: West Coast - Remote (PST Hours Required)

Headquartered in Los Angeles, CA with an office in New York, NY, Birdy Grey supports remote work for eligible roles. We ask that all employees travel to either office once a quarter. #LI-Hybrid

We are seeking a Senior Product Manager, Supply Chain and Backend Systems to lead the development, optimization, and automation of our internal supply chain, backend systems, and operations technology. This role is critical in ensuring seamless data integration and flow between our ERP, OMS, WMS systems, and Data Warehouse while supporting Just-In-Time (JIT) supply chain execution and implementation of an MPS( Master Production Schedule) system 

The ideal candidate is a highly technical and strategic product leader with a deep understanding of backend systems, supply chain technology, and enterprise software integration. You will work cross-functionally with Supply Chain & Logistics, Operations, Merchandising, Planning, Engineering, Consumer Product, Finance, and leadership teams to drive initiatives that improve operational efficiency and scalability.

This position requires fluency in Mandarin and experience collaborating with China-based engineering teams. The role is West Coast-based to effectively bridge time zones between our U.S. and China operations.

SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Define and execute the product vision, roadmap, and strategy for supply chain, backend systems, and internal operational tools.
  • Lead cross-functional collaboration with engineering teams, operations, and business stakeholders to develop and refine backend system integrations.
  • Own the architecture and execution of ERP (Fulfil) integrations and data flows.
  • Develop automated order export, change alerts, and real-time monitoring to drive supply chain efficiency.
  • Establish daily order processing workflows to create a unified “source of truth” for all orders.
  • Implement data validation rules, anomaly detection, and backup strategies to maintain data integrity.
  • Manage technical product requirements, sprint planning, and development cycles with both in-house and outsourced engineering resources.
  • Lead quality assurance (QA) processes, ensuring high performance, reliability, and security.
  • Define and track KPIs for supply chain automation and operational efficiency, making data-driven decisions to refine strategies.

THE RIGHT CANDIDATE: QUALIFICATIONS & PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES

EXPERIENCE / REQUIREMENTS:

  • 8+ years of technical product management experience, with at least 4+ years in supply chain, logistics, or e-commerce backend systems.
  • Deep expertise in ERP, OMS, WMS, MPS, PIM, and Master Data Management.
  • Proven ability to manage complex integrations, API development, and microservices architecture.
  • Strong SQL and data management skills, with experience in real-time synchronization (webhooks, streaming data, batch processing).
  • Experience leading teams of engineers (including offshore teams), third-party vendors, and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for building scalable, data-driven solutions.
  • Fluency in Mandarin and English, with experience managing China-based engineering teams.
