Job Description
The Senior Manager, Total Rewards is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the programs, policies and procedures that make Privia’s benefit and compensation programs function. This role will work closely with employees and leaders to ensure Privia’s programming is inclusive, innovative and most importantly, helps us attract and retain stellar employees. The right candidate will desire to create and influence a Total Rewards program that not only creates and protects equity and representation at all levels, but holds others accountable for the part they play in the process.
Primary Job Duties:
- Maintain the benefit broker and benefit vendor performance relationships, including audit management, contract processes, and negotiations, to ensure maximum value of services is delivered
- Evaluate effectiveness of programming through engagement and cost analysis; develop and maintain reporting mechanisms to provide regular readouts to Privia leadership
- Ensure all benefit offerings align with our benefits philosophy; optimize value of robust wellbeing programming to health plan results, productivity, organizational performance and participant quality of life
- Accountable for legal compliance and cost effectiveness and that healthcare resources are allocated to support the most critical initiatives and employee needs
- Perform analytical studies in a variety of compensation areas, such as internal and external equity, competitive pay practices, and emerging trends; recommend and implement associated policy and/or program changes
- Establish standard compensation bands by position and create data maintenance procedures
- Provide training and development opportunities for People Managers and the People Operations team to support retention and benefit utilization
- Develop and scale a team of highly capable generalists to specialize in Compensation and Benefits
- Together with consultants, conduct evaluations of industry standards and benchmarking for employee benefit and compensation programs
- Optimize impact of wellbeing programming to health plan results, productivity, and participant quality of life
- Maintain oversight and management of benefit and wellbeing strategy, including communication and implementation of company-wide programs
- Act as project manager for total rewards for all acquisitions; includes integration of newly acquired businesses and employees into current benefits, continuity of care and coverage is established
- Creates and maintains workflows to ensure accuracy and efficiency of all internal HR processes
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- PHR/SPHR or other compensations and benefits certifications preferred
- At least 5 years experience in benefits or compensation administration; self-funded benefit experience preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong presentation skills
- Expert ability to convey complicated information clearly and concisely
- Experience working in a compensation management system; PayFactors / Payscale a plus
- Sound knowledge of organization development, change management and HR practices
- Must comply with HIPAA rules and regulations
Colorado, New York, New Jersey, California and Washington Residents Only: The salary range for this role is $84,000 $126,000 in base pay and exclusive of any bonuses or benefits. The base pay offered will be determined based on relevant factors such as experience, education, and geographic location.
