Manager Service Management - CMDB

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manager to lead our Service Asset and Configuration Management (SACM) initiatives. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and efficiency of our Configuration Management Database (CMDB) and related processes. As a SACM Manager, you will be accountable for the governance and maintenance of the CMDB, configuration identification and control, and collaboration with IT Operations Management (ITOM), IT Asset Management (ITAM), and Service Management teams. You will be responsible for driving continuous improvement initiatives and working with leaders across the organization to ensure adherence to SACM processes.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Accountable for the global strategy for IT Asset Management and Configuration Management programs, processes, standards, and technologies.
• Accountable for defining and enforcing SACM policies, processes, and procedures to maintain data integrity.
• Accountable for implementing and managing processes for identifying, controlling, and baselining configuration items throughout their lifecycle.
• Accountable for fostering collaboration with IT Operations Management (ITOM) and IT Asset Management (ITAM) teams to integrate configuration management practices into operational and asset management processes.
• Responsible for facilitating cross-functional communication to ensure a holistic approach to service management.
• Accountable for developing and maintaining reporting mechanisms to provide insights into the state of the CMDB, configuration item relationships, and adherence to configuration management processes.
• Responsible for implementing key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of SACM activities.

Minimum requirements:

• Proven experience in Software Asset & Configuration Management ownership with a solid understanding of CSDM.
• Ability to influence across organizational levels, particularly senior leaders.
• Specialized knowledge of defining, documenting, and implementing Asset Management and Configuration Management processes for both hardware and software CIs.
• Experience with IT Service Management toolsets (e.g. ServiceNow, Microsoft SCCM).
• People management experience.
