Responsibilities:

The Senior Cost Analyst (recognized O&S cost estimating authority with ACAT I level AF or DOD aircraft program aircraft estimating expertise) will support Barrow Wise's Air Force project and perform the following duties:

• Creates problem definition, identification of avenues, utilizes appropriate resources and methods, and execution of tasks within the project
• Provides progressive cost analysis expertise in cost analysis principles and concepts including, but not limited to, major weapon systems procurement and operations and support cost estimating, statistical analysis, cost risk & uncertainty modeling, budget formulation, affordability analyses, cost-benefit analysis, and other pertinent analytical experience.
• Develops highly advanced cost models with Microsoft Excel
• Identify data quality problems
• Participate in teleconferences, committees, functions, and other meetings as directed, providing relevant and timely information to these groups and assisting with decision making and process improvement
• Perform other duties as assigned

An Ideal Candidate has:

• US Citizenship (Secret Clearance)
• Education: Bachelor's degree or higher in a technical field (e.g., Computer Science, Information Technology)
• Technical knowledge of Air Force System Sustainment, both past, and current platforms; This knowledge will consist of understanding the multiple options for system product support and the cost elements affected by different product support strategies.
• Working knowledge of logistics associated with aircraft systems.
• Must have at least 5 years concentrated experience doing O&S cost estimating for AF or DOD aircraft programs
• Understand drivers and patterns in O&S cost estimates
• Must have completed multiple O&S cost estimates without oversight
• Knowledge of the correct application of inflation and price escalation
• Must have demonstrated experience using the AFTOC database and be able to pull and understand how to use the data
