What We Need:
As a Sales Support Specialist, you will facilitate additional growth in our Contract Sales area of business. You will be responsible for managing Design Public Group’s business with key Contract Dealer clients and Architecture and Design professionals. Assisting with sales quotes, order processing status updates and other aspects of the ancillary furniture sales cycle is done via a proprietary technology platform. Ongoing training for our clients will also be a key part of this role. What You Will Do:- Facilitating both the presale and post-sale order process with clients
- Generating quotes for various furniture packages using our systems
- Reviewing Purchase Orders from clients to ensure accuracy relative to quotes
- Keeping clients updated on order status
- Working with vendor partners to provide samples, product information, custom solutions
- Responding to the Outside Sales team to assist in needed sales areas on short notice
- Working with the sales and customer service teams on orders with damaged/missing products to understand what happened and take corrective action
- Act as main point of contact in all matters relating to client inquiries, concerns, and needs (includes support of sales territories currently lacking a sales director)
- Maintain and enhance knowledge and understanding of DPG products and service offerings to better upsell and cross-sell to clients
- Anticipate and understand client needs and meet those needs
- Maintain accurate client records, keeping track of any account updates (accessibility, terms, territories, etc.)
- Monitor assigned accounts to ensure quality care and service.
- Meet regularly with other members of the team to discuss progress and find new ways to improve business efficiency and business in general
- Associate degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or two years of industry related experience and/or training, working in a fast-paced environment while having varying responsibilities across multiple workflows
- Experience with commercial contract furniture business preferred
- Ability to communicate expectations and requirements with both internal and external partners
- Strong communication and facilitation skills, including the ability to identify the root cause of issues and recommend solutions
- Outstanding communication skills, across multiple modes, that adapt to ever-changing requirements including operating under tight deadlines and high-pressure situations
- Expertise and or the ability to master a multitude of software systems including, but not limited to MS Office, G Suite, Salesforce, Shopify, and other eCommerce order management (OMS) tools
- A detailed focus personality with the ability to multi-task and prioritize competing demands
